General Information
The 28th Annual Meeting of Japan Society of Theoretical Chemistry (JSTC) will be held at Okayama University from May 18 to 20, 2026. The oral presentations will be held on the 1st to 3rd days, a poster session will be held on the 2nd and 3rd days, and a banquet is scheduled on 2nd day (May 19), all in person. Please join us for an interesting and fruitful discussion.
We encourage graduate students and young researchers to showcase their work, and the outstanding oral and poster presentations will be awarded by JSTC.
We sincerely look forward to welcoming you to Okayama for JSTC Annual Meeting.

Apply for Presentation
We accept applications for oral and poster presentations to be done in person (on-site). The submissions will be reviewed and the final decision will be made by executive committee.
Oral presentations will take place in the Kanemitsu Hall, and the poster sessions will take place in the 2nd floor Meeting room.

The above presentation times are tentative and may change once the program is finalized. For the oral presentation, please bring your own laptop and ensure the display is correctly connected before the session starts. In case of any issues, we advise having your data on a cloud drive or on a USB device. Please also note the following:
- Oral presentations will be limited to two applicants per laboratory. If more applications are received, you may be asked to change your oral presentation to a poster.
- Please prepare in advance the title and short abstract (within 200 words) of your presentation to be included in the meeting program.
- If the number of applications exceeds the limit, priority will be given to the JSTC members.
About Awards
We are pleased to announce that the Best Presentation Awards and Best Poster Awards will be granted to young JSTC members who delivered outstanding presentations at the Annual Meeting.

Information for Award Applicants
- Please apply for the Award at the time of submitting your abstract. Note that any changes in the title and authors after completing submission will be considered as a withdrawal of the Award application.
- Please provide your JSTC membership number to verify eligibility. We may also verify your age (in case of Presentation Award) and study grade (in case of Poster Award) at the time of application.
- If you have already received the Awards in the past Annual Meeting of JSTC, you may not apply to the same Award category. However, past Poster Award winners may apply for the Presentation Award, and vice versa, provided the research content does not repeat.
About the selection
- The Committee will make a selection based on the given presentations. However, if there are many applicants, the preliminary selection may be done based on the submitted abstracts.
- If the presentation type (oral, poster) is changed once the program is finalized, the category of Awards application will be changed accordingly.
- The Best Presentation Award winners will receive a certificate of commendation and a 1-year subscription to the Chemical Society of Japan (CSJ) journal.
- One Best Poster Award will be provided by PCCP, supported by Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), and several Best Poster Awards will be provided by CSJ, along with a certificate of commendation.
- The names of the Award winners will be officially announced via JSTC within 1 month after the Annual Meeting. The announcement will be published on this website, the JSTC website, and via the mailing list.

- JSTC members are eligible for a discounted registration fee (presentations are open to non-members as well).
- Please prepare your JSTC membership number before registering.
- To apply for membership or check the membership status and number, please visit JSTC website.
- A PDF file including abstracts will be made available to registered participants in advance. The paper booklet will not be issued.
- The fee for the banquet is not included in the registration fee.
- (*Notice) Due to limitted capacity, advance registration is requested for banquet. The banquet registration may close once capacity is reached.

Please complete your registration before making payment.
* Participants from outside Japan are requested to pay the registration and banquet fees on-site at the prepayment rate. Cash in Japanese yen only.
Postal transfer
- For postal transfer with ATM, please enter your full name and registration ID as payer name (e.g., Okayama Momotaro 01234).
- When using a payment slip, please include your address, name, phone number, payment amount, and registration ID in the message field.
- The transfer account information will be provided by e-mail after registration.
- Your registraion ID is issuded upon registration.
Bank transfer
- If using ATMs or online banking, please enter your name and registration ID as the payer mname (e.g., Okayama Momotaro 01234).
- If you pay at a bank counter using transfer form, please include your name and registration ID in the payer name. (e.g., Okayama Momotaro 01234).
Fill in your address, name, registration number, phone number, and payment amount on the payment slip provided by your financial institution. - The account name and number for the transfer will be provided via email after registration.
- Your registration ID will be issued upon your registration.
Notice
- Note that once the registration fee is transferred, it cannot be refunded for any reason.
- Please keep the receipt printed at the time of transfer until the day of the event.
- After the deadline for advanced registration is passed, we will only accept payments on the day of the event at the venue.

From JR Okayama Station
By Bus:
- From the West Exit (Un’do Kōen Exit), take the bus bound for
“Okayama Rika-Daigaku (岡山理科大学)” (usually bus line 47).
Get off at “Okadai-Nishimon (岡大西門)”.
The hall is about a 1-minute walk from the bus stop. -
From the East Exit (Kōrakuen Exit), take buses 17 or 67 bound for
“Myōzenji (妙善寺)” and get off at:
- Okadai-Nishimon (岡大西門)
- Okadai-Higashimon (岡大東門)
- Fukui-Iriguichi (福居入口)
By Taxi:
Taxis are available at the West Exit of JR Okayama Station.
Travel time to the hall is about 7 minutes.
On Foot:
It is about a 35-minute walk (approximately 2.5 km) from the West Exit of JR Okayama Station.
From JR Hōkaiin Station (Tsuyama Line)
Get off at Hōkaiin Station on the JR Tsuyama Line.
The hall is about a 10-minute walk from the station.
From Okayama Airport
Take the Airport Limousine Bus from Okayama Airport to
Okayama Station (West Exit).
From there, please use a bus or taxi as described above.
